ACT Labor is building better hospitals and delivering more health services across the ACT.
Soon South Tuggeranong residents will have access to a brand new health centre. It means better access to care, closer to your home.
We’re seeing an increase of chronic illnesses, complex health conditions and an ageing population in the ACT.
That’s why we are investing in more community services that bring together health professionals from across the system. This will allow Canberrans to access care closer to home and reduce the need to go to hospital for treatment and appointments.
The new South Tuggeranong health centre will provide services for older Canberrans, children and families. It will provide access to skilled nurses and allied health workers.
Services and design will be finalised with the local community over the coming months.
Construction is expected to begin in the first half of 2024.
I’ll keep you updated on the Health Centre as it progresses.
